Music Tech Mondays: A Free Speaker Series for Music Tech Lovers!

Hello Everyone!
I’m thrilled to announce Music Tech Mondays—a brand-new interview series brought to you by IU Indy’s Department of Music & Arts Technology and the Herron School of Art and Design! Whether you’re a student, a music enthusiast, or just curious about the intersection of music and technology, this free event series is for you. And I’m especially excited because I’ll be hosting the series myself—Matthew from AudioKit.

In a time when music education often gets sidelined, it feels amazing to offer something like this for Indiana students and the wider community. We pulled this whole thing together in about three weeks, with a budget of zero dollars. I’m completely floored by the incredible support from industry pros who stepped up—simply because they wanted to give back.

Music Tech Mondays

Music Tech Mondays features an incredible lineup of speakers, including four Grammy winners, the iconic Roger Linn (the inventor of the drum machine and the MPC!), and world-class industry leaders. These are folks who don’t need an introduction—but they’re not coming for fame or compensation. They’re here because they genuinely care about supporting and inspiring the next generation of creators.

“The Best Fall Music Tech Speaker Lineup in the Country”

Dr. Robin Cox, our new department head, even called this “the best fall music tech speaker lineup” of any university in the U.S. And it’s all happening right here in Indiana. I couldn’t be prouder of our community for coming together to make this happen.

So, if you’re interested in music, tech, or just want to be part of something inspiring, we’d love for you to join us. Tell your friends, spread the word, and come be a part of what’s shaping up to be an epic series of events!

How to Join

Most events will be live-streamed, and we’ll be sharing the links on the day of each event at MusicTechMondays.com. If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry—all interviews will be recorded and posted online for you to enjoy later.

Mark your calendars, and get ready for a one-of-a-kind series that brings the worlds of music and technology together. We can’t wait to see you there!

Stay tuned, spread the word, and let’s make Music Tech Mondays a success for everyone!

Let’s go educate the next generation,
Matthew Fecher
