So we just launched SUPER J8, and honestly, we’re pretty excited about how it turned out. We took a real vintage Jupiter-8 (yes, the $30,000 one) and spent hours recording it, then used machine learning to recreate all those gorgeous analog imperfections that make it sound alive. This isn’t generative AI stuff. We analyzed a mountain of data from the actual hardware to nail those tiny variations that give analog synths their warmth and character.
It includes several new features: 64 voices, true poly unison, oscillator sync, cross modulation, PWM, and a bunch of other features that serious synth heads actually care about. It comes loaded with 600+ presets from some really talented sound designers.
Super J8 is our take on that legendary Jupiter style magic, but built for right now. Vintage warmth, big glossy pads, deep bass, and punchy keys on iPhone and iPad, with a UI that actually feels good on a small screen. It’s inspired by the Jupiter-8, but it’s a creative instrument we built to be playable and fun in real life. One tester told us they were sold after literally one sound.
